Doing a "Bitsy" of Good This Holiday Season

December 15, 2013

Our newest Community Partner, Bitsy’s Brainfood, is donating 1 box for EVERY box sold in December 2013 to Fill Little Bellies this holiday season.  Their mission is for kids to “Eat Smart and Be Smart” all year long.  Thanks to their generosity, our kiddos will be able to reach for a box of yummy, veggie-packed, smart snacks when their tummies rumble.  What an incredible gift!

Bitsy’s Brainfood pledges to end childhood hunger this holiday – and you can help!

NEW YORK, Dec. 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — This holiday season Bitsy’s Brainfood is taking a pledge to end childhood hunger. For every box sold in December, Bitsy’s will donate a box to Grow Our Kids, an all-volunteer not-for-profit organization providing healthy meals to kids who go hungry in the absence of school breakfasts and lunches (often their only meals of the day).

So not only can you feed your kids delicious, healthy, veggie-based snacks, you can also make sure kids in need have enough to eat this holiday season.

“We started Bitsy’s Brainfood to help parents everywhere give their kids healthy snacks, so childhood nutrition is central to our company’s mission. That’s why instead of just donating a small percentage of the profits from each sale like some companies do, we are matching our customers’ purchases 100%,” says Bitsy’s Brainfood co-founder Maggie Jones Patton.

“This way our customers know that they aren’t just helping their own families when they choose Bitsy’s Brainfood, but giving a helping hand to other parents who struggle to feed their kids during the holidays.”
